Navigate the world.
Plan the future.
Undergraduate students at ASU’s School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning study diverse areas, including population and migration, environmental and landscape dynamics, geographic information science and technology, meteorology and climatology, and urban and regional geography.
They learn to integrate both theoretical and methodological perspectives and translate their knowledge into practice in research and professional settings. And when they graduate, they are prepared to work for governments, consulting groups and large companies or to enter graduate school for further study.
Degree Programs
We offer a bachelor of arts degree as well as bachelor of science degrees (with various concentrations) in Geography in addition to a bachelor of science in Urban Planning and a bachelor of science in Geographic Information Science. For motivated, highly qualified students, there is also a fast-track option to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning in just five years.
