Teresa Garcia was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Maryvale High School in 2012 and began her journey at ASU, where her love for weather drove her to pursue a BS in Geography with a concentration in Meteorology-Climatology. When Teresa was younger, her father always encouraged recycling in the household and taught her the importance of conserving energy and water. This made her want to create greener cities, hence her earning her BS in Planning. She hopes that with her master's degree she will be able to combine both her knowledge of meteorology and urban planning to give back to the city that gave her so much.

Ms. Garcia graduated in 2017 from ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a concentration in Meteorology/Climatology and a Bachelor of Science in Planning. She also earned a minor in Sustainability and a certificate in GIS. This Fall, she will be starting her first year in the MUEP program.
