The Undergraduate Experience at ASU

As an undergraduate student in ASU’s School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning, you’ll spend your classroom time studying theories as well as real-world methodologies and approaches to planning and geography. You’ll study with some of the nation’s leading researchers in the field as you work to help solve the world’s biggest challenges in areas like population and migration, environmental and landscape dynamics, geographic information science and technology, meteorology and climatology, and urban and regional geography.

But your ASU experience goes beyond coursework and research. Be sure to take advantage of various internship and employment opportunities. And don’t miss out on the social events that help define college. Plus, through ASU’s more than 1,000 clubs and organizations — including several within the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning — you’ll have the opportunity to meet interesting new people, make friends and expand your horizons.
