Jason Edmunds's research focuses on disaster resiliency, disaster management and recovery, community development, and the human-environment interface of natural hazards. His current work is concentrated on the November 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California.
He takes pride in teaching GPH112 Introduction to Physical Geography, the largest lab science course in the School of Geographic Sciences & Urban Planning, and regularly serves as a mentor to undergraduate students.
Jason is a 2014 graduate of ASU, having been awarded the Dean's Medal, after receiving a B.A. in Earth & Environmental Studies, a B.S. in Geography, and a certificate in Geograhic Information Science. As a graduate student, he has received awards for excellence as a student and as an instructor.
