Eugene Trobia has been the Arizona State Cartographer since 1996 and has over twenty-two years experience in GIS. Gene is a past president of the Arizona Geographic Information Council and the National States Geographic Information Council and is very active in Arizona GIS coordination and data development activities. Eugene Trobia was the Principal Investigator and recipient of a 1997 FGDC CAP award for “Establishing an Arizona Node on the National Geospatial Data Clearinghouse.” That project was successfully conducted and completed. The Arizona Node is still in operation and searchable.
